Since 1998, I have been a professional cartoonist.  Currently my work is featured weekly within the Henderson Home News, South Valley News and Boulder City News, all of which are weekly publications with a distribution base of over 34,000 people throughout Southern Nevada (one of the nation’s still rapidly growing yet more diverse demographic regions.)

I have been recognized by the Nevada Press Association (NPA) on a number of occasions with statewide honors for my work.  Most recently, my work was received top honor at this year’s NPA awards for “Best Editorial Cartoon All State Papers.”  My illustrations have also been featured in several university level text books.

Being a cartoonist allows me the opportunity to express and share opinions, elicit immediate responses from people, and, at times, hold up a mirror to readers and force them to face opinions they may not have realized they had before.  This level of intimate communication is powerful and gratifying, which is why I look forward to a long career in editorial cartooning.
