Here is another addition to our ongoing collection of bad reasoning by famous philosophers.  Husserl, in the conclusion of his 1907 lectures on Thing and Space, argues (p. 251 of the English translation):

"Every perceived reality (real thing) can perhaps not be, and thereby in principle each and every thing posited in perception and also in memory might not be.  Hence it is possible for there to be nothing real."

This seems to be a straightforward instance of the fallacy of composition.
